Job Description:
No C2C or 3rd party candidates will be considered. Sterling Engineering is partnering with a growing manufacturer seeking a hands-on Quality Supervisor to lead in-process quality, laboratory operations, quality systems, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role will work closely with production and engineering teams to improve process stability, reduce defects, and drive operational excellence . Responsibilit i es : Establish and manage quality laboratory operations, testing methods, and equipment calibration. Develop and maintain quality standards, procedures, work instructions, and training materials. Monitor in-process quality and ensure compliance with Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) requirements. Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for quality issues. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using
SPC, DMAIC, A3, 5
Why, Kaizen, and Gemba methodologies. Analyze quality and process data to improve consistency, reduce scrap, and enhance product quality. Supervise, train, and develop quality personnel while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement .
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Technology, Ceramics, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of supervisory experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within manufacturing. Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems and procedures. Strong understanding of laboratory testing, manufacturing quality processes, and process controls. Experience converting attribute-based standards into measurable quality metrics. Working knowledge of
ISO 9001, SPC, DMAIC, A3, 5
Why, and other quality improvement tools. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
