Job Description

2nd Shift Quality Assurance Team Leader 2.9 2.9 out of 5 stars Fukai Toyotetsu Indiana Corporation is a metal stamping and robotic welding automotive manufacturer located in Jamestown, Indiana. We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Team Leader to join our 2nd shift team and help coordinate activities of team members to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing operations while promoting a team environment and improving all methods! Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Review quality schedules to ensure the manufacturing of product(s) meet customer expectations. Plan and review quality systems, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products. Resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent delays. Assist in review of data obtained during quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures. Assist in developing new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities. Assist in informing management team of significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and actions being taken to improve the situation. Utilize the appropriate personnel based on skill sets. Evaluate, develop and ensure appropriate training processes are completed with Team Members. Trains team members on production, quality and safety procedures associated with QA. Ensure quality requirements and procedures for the area are understood and met. Provide assistance to Team Members in solving problems/concerns that affect their performance. Evaluate the issue and consult with Group Leader and/or Human Resources as needed to determine the most effective solution. Other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Group Leader.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or G.E.D., or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Technical Competencies:
Good problem-solving skills. Proficient personal computer and system software skills. (Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Etc.) Technical knowledge in product design functions, and manufacturing inspection processes. (Ability to understand part drawings, Datums, Outlines, Surfaces) Basic knowledge and experience in Stamping & Welding processes a plus.

Interpersonal skills (relationship building, teamwork, interpersonal thought, conflict resolution, customer orientation). Communication (verbal communication, listening, written communication, on-the-job training). Judgment and thinking (original thinking, judgment and decision-making, problem solving). Performance skills (accuracy with detail, planning and organizing, efficiency). Personal characteristics (motivation/commitment flexibility, assertiveness, development orientation, resilience, quality orientation). Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, or Kaizen-Continuous Improvement.
Environment:
May be exposed to both hot and cool conditions, with a moderate to high noise level.

Environmental Aspects/Impacts:
Basic administrative recycling of paper, plastics, aluminum. Ensure EMS requirements are being followed by all Team Members in respective areas.
