Job Description

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading and continuously improving the organization's quality management system to ensure products, processes, and suppliers consistently meet customer requirements, regulatory standards, and company objectives. This role serves as the primary quality leader across the organization, driving compliance, process improvement, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence while supporting overall business profitability and performance goals. Key Responsibilities Quality Management & Compliance Promote quality achievement and continuous performance improvement throughout the organization. Ensure compliance with applicable national and international quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems, procedures, controls, and documentation. Establish and monitor quality metrics, KPIs, and reporting systems to measure organizational performance. Maintain awareness of business objectives, operational priorities, and budgetary considerations while supporting company profitability. Supplier Quality & Customer Requirements Evaluate supplier quality systems and ensure external vendors meet company and customer quality requirements. Partner with Purchasing and Supply Chain teams to establish quality expectations and specifications for suppliers. Review company product specifications and customer requirements to ensure alignment with quality standards. Lead supplier quality improvement initiatives and corrective action processes when required. Process Improvement & Operational Support Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Design, Purchasing, and Operations teams to define and improve quality procedures and controls. Analyze quality performance data, trends, and statistical reports to identify opportunities for improvement. Lead root cause investigations, corrective actions, and preventive actions to address quality issues. Ensure testing methods, inspection procedures, and evaluation processes are properly understood, executed, and documented. Investigate product modifications and process improvements necessary to meet quality objectives. Team Leadership & Training Supervise and mentor quality technicians, inspectors, and technical staff responsible for testing and inspection activities. Identify quality-related training needs and coordinate employee development programs to strengthen organizational quality performance. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer focus across all departments. Auditing & Customer Relations Serve as the primary point of contact for customer audits, third-party audits, and certification bodies. Ensure successful audit preparation, execution, and follow-up activities. Maintain responsibility for the timely implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions resulting from audits, customer complaints, and internal quality findings. Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams to resolve quality concerns and ensure ongoing compliance with customer expectations. New Product Introduction (NPI) Serve as the quality steward for new product introductions through the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process. Lead quality planning activities including risk assessments, control plans, PFMEA reviews, process validation, and production readiness evaluations. Ensure new products are successfully launched in compliance with customer, regulatory, and organizational quality requirements. Reporting & Documentation Prepare and present technical reports, quality performance summaries, audit findings, and management system reviews. Maintain accurate quality records, documentation, and reporting systems to support compliance and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications 5+ years of quality leadership experience within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of ISO standards, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, and Corrective Action methodologies. Experience managing customer audits, supplier quality programs, and regulatory compliance requirements. Proven leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in quality reporting, data analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
