Job Description
Job Summary:
A Quality Manager ensures products, services, and processes meet established quality standards by developing and implementing quality control systems, conducting inspections, analyzing data, and collaborating with teams to improve processes and maintain high-quality output. Ensuring that we meet safety and quality standards set by both GAA and regulatory authorities. Seeks to instill a Quality Culture throughout the organization. Develop, lead, and execute the quality strategy within our site. This includes direct leadership for the quality/training teams ensuring superior process quality. Lead and improve all aspects of site quality performance, ensuring alignment with business objectives and key stakeholders.Duties/Responsibilities:

Maintain adherence to quality/training standards in departments for incoming new hires. Identify, record, and resolve any problems relating to, process, and quality systems. Coordinate / support activities. Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels. Verify and document implementation of solutions to problems. Represent the Company to our customers and vendors, including quality-related report outs and contacts as required. Ensure customer satisfaction in quality/training departments. Make independent decisions / referrals to resolve potential quality problems as required. Think, resolve, and document all quality issues in a disciplined approach. Responsible for tracking all quality-related material. To ensure compliance with all Company rules / policies / practices. Analyze data and performance and evaluate the quality of the shop performance. Control product quality through development and use flow charts, and solid problem-solving skills. Create computerized graphs / reports that clearly demonstrate quality characteristics. Complete required reports accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain documentation accurately between Process Flows, Control Plans, and SMP's. Maintain flexibility in ability to adjust to changes in job requirements and hours, while completing other functions daily without fail. Operate computers and technical measuring equipment. Maintain 5S in the work area. Incorporate safe working procedures into all daily activities in and around the facility. Train and assist in problem solving. Performs functional quality tests, as required. Ensures that evaluations and verifications are performed by qualified Team Members. Supervise work carried out by members of the Quality department. Identify job openings. Establishes performance goals and a development plan, conducting a six-month evaluation. Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement, ensures that continuous improvement activities are planned, implemented, measured, reported, and reviewed in the respective area of responsibility. Reviews employee performance and coaches' employees on a regular basis.(quality team) Identifies performance or conduct issues, resolving the issue internally with the Employee (where possible and appropriate) and initiates the employee's corrective action process (for internal resolution). Communicating regarding issues that cannot be resolved to HR and Site Manager develops an appropriate action plan with HR and Site Manager to correct the issue. Plans goals and individual development with each direct report. Corrects and improves actions in the respective areas regarding employee satisfaction. Communicates daily with the team. Develops and controls documents and data within the functional area. Reviews, approves, distributes, and maintains file documents and data for which there is a management authority. Responsible for releasing external documents, and for ensuring that obsolete external documents are excluded from use. Applies that corrective action process when discrepancies / non-conformances are detected. (Quality Team) Responsible for applying the preventive action process when potential issues/risks are identified. Also, responsible for assessing the importance/severity of the issues/risks and for initiating preventive action for employees in the department. Quality manager's additional responsibilities for CCC (where required): Ensure that the requirements of this document are effectively established, implemented, and maintained in the plant. Follow up most current revisions of compulsory certification implementation rules and product certification standards, issuance, and revision of other relevant certification documents.Other Duties:

BS degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience required. Experience required & preferred: 3-5 years of automotive industry quality experience preferred. Must work safely and adhere to all company and customer safety policies and procedures and comply with necessary PPE as required. Must have regular and predictable attendance. Must be willing to work overtime when needed. Must have a good working relationship with team members of all levels. Must possess a positive teamwork attitude and get along well with others.Work Environment:

Working conditions are normal for a production-based manufacturing environment and/or logistics/distribution center/warehouse environment including exposure to changing building temperatures and noise exposure.
