Description About Us:
The Caturus platform was founded by Kimmeridge, an alternative asset manager focused on the energy sector, with subsequent additional investment by Mubadala Energy. Caturus is building an independent, fully integrated natural gas and LNG export platform in the U.S. through a combination of its upstream operations and Commonwealth LNG, a 9.5 Mtpa LNG export terminal in southwestern Louisiana. Together, they will provide low-cost energy on demand with the lowest carbon footprint.
Job Description Position Summary:
As a Site based Lead Quality Coordinator, you will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the quality systems in place, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions to address any discrepancies. You will also assist in developing and maintaining documentation, training staff on quality standards, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies. The role requires effective communication skills and a strong understanding of quality management principles and methodologies. As the Site Lead Quality Coordinator you may at times be required to temporarily perform the role and function as a (deputy) Site Quality Manager based on normal business needs not limited to business travel or other requirements during a dynamic environment. Key Accountabilities; Implement CWLNG quality control procedures and standards. Coordinate CWLNG inspector's workload and allocation for required inspections in accordance with program provided by Contractor. Perform and participate in all required audits. Represent Owner Interests at all times Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies. Verify accurately completion of inspection forms, checklists, and test records by CWLNG inspectors. Submit inspection reports to the Quality Manager for review and storage. Conduct routine and surveillance inspections on contractor and subcontractor work. Verify that approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPSs) and construction methods are used. Through planned Audits, ensure only qualified personnel (e.g., welders, inspectors) perform critical activities. Identify and report any deviations from specifications, drawings, or standards. Interface with EPC Quality Lead personnel - this is an active engaging lead role. Follow up to ensure corrective actions are implemented and verified. Interface with Contractor team and Subcontractors to support daily execution. Communicate inspection results and highlight any issues promptly. Monitor that Contractor check deliveries for damage, correct documentation (MTCs, COCs), and proper storage and handling. Participate in punch listing and walkdowns to identify outstanding quality issues. Confirm that systems and sub-systems are completed in accordance with quality requirements before turnover. Ensure that quality inspections and work activities do not compromise HSE standards. Stop work and report if safety or quality risks are identified. Participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings where applicable. Provide feedback on recurring quality issues to support root cause analysis.
Qualifications:
Education, Certificates, and Licenses:
High school diploma required; associates degree or higher-level education preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience in greenfield LNG Project execution is highly desirable 5+ years' experience as a Client/Owner Representative as a Quality Lead or Manager is preferred. 7+ more years in QA/QC Manager or Lead Role Experience with performing Client/Owner direct involvement with single weld hook ups, tie‑ins, flange management. Proven experience in execution phase, tolerance, and documentation rigor Actual hands-on experience with single weld hook up, tie‑ins, flange managements, Build It Clean. Direct involvement, not peripheral awareness is required, Previous Oil & Gas and Gulf Coast experience required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Excellent communication and people skills. Experience with quality management systems (QMS). Familiarity with statistical analysis software and digital inspection sign off processes with tablets. Knowledge of industry-specific quality standards and regulations. Leadership skills and the ability to manage cross-functional teams. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience. Proven record in quality control or related roles. Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and tools. Strong mindfulness and organizational skills. Ability to perform audits and inspections effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
