Position Title:
Product Performance Manager Pay Rate :
$108,200-$144,300 Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range. Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IP's short - term incentive plan.

Mansfield Mill (Mansfield, LA) The Job You Will Perform (including but not limited to): The following key accountabilities are not all inclusive; additional responsibilities may be assigned based on evolving business needs. Champion a safe, injury free work environment by modeling safe behaviors, supporting safety initiatives, and maintaining a clean and orderly workplace. Serve as the site's Quality Management System (QMS) Champion, ensuring that the QMS is effectively implemented, continuously improved, and aligned with corporate quality standards. Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of mill quality metrics, customer experience processes, and related company initiatives. Reduce the cost of quality by establishing actionable KPIs and prioritizing improvement opportunities. Build and sustain a strong quality culture grounded in documented root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies. Partner with the Operations Team to resolve process issues impacting product quality, using Six Sigma and other disciplined problem-solving tools. Promote and communicate Quality best practices, collaborating with department managers, front line leaders, and cross-functional partners to ensure effective operation of the Quality Management System. Act as the primary liaison for key contractors and external stakeholders on all quality-related matters. Develop, maintain, and apply Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all relevant processes, including Quality team workflows and system improvements. Serve as the site coordinator for critical quality-related business software. Provide leadership that strengthens team member engagement, drives consistent execution of quality processes, and fosters effective communication across the mill. Ensure internal and external customer requirements are met by maintaining strong communication channels with box plants, mill personnel, and corporate partners. Coordinate all customer interactions, including quality issue resolution, specification changes, and onsite visits. Lead and develop the Quality Support Team, including direct supervision of the Quality Engineer, Quality FLL and the hourly Quality Technicians, ensuring effective teamwork and high performance. Maintain and strengthen collaborative relationships with internal partners, including the Finished Products Operating Team and the Area Manufacturing Excellence Leader (AMEL). Implement and maintain audit practices to track, verify, and sustain quality performance metrics. Validate tests and equipment. Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to provide mill support outside normal business hours, including nights and weekends. Exhibit a confident, positive leadership presence that motivates others and reinforces a culture of excellence.
The Skills You Will Bring:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience Management and Leadership experience required with five plus years' manufacturing experience, quality experience preferred. Thorough and detailed knowledge of paper making and the impact of paper quality on convertibility and box production. Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office. Strong project management skills with high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Proficient with Proficy (quality management systems). Experience working in a team-based HPWS, customer and quality-focused organization. Knowledge of relevant OSHA and IPG standards and regulations.
