Job Description

From their Louisiana based operations, Frederick's Manufacturing LLC specializes in CNC and conventional machining, subsea fabrication, and wireline tooling, and manufactures critical components such as packer parts, downhole tools, hydraulic cylinders, subsea structures, pipe clamps, HDD Tools, mats, and custom-fabricated assemblies, supporting clients across the oil and gas, marine, industrial, petrochemical, agricultural, and wireline sectors. Position Summary The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and administering the company's ISO-based Quality Management System to ensure compliance with quality standards and certification requirements. This role supports manufacturing operations through document control, audit preparation, calibration tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position works closely with Operations Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure quality processes are accurate, compliant, and consistently followed. Key Responsibilities Maintain, organize, and control all quality system documentation in accordance with ISO requirements Ensure documents are current, accurate, and readily available for audits and operations Coordinate issuance, revision, approval, and archival of controlled documents Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation, records, and objective evidence Maintain accurate and complete quality records for compliance and traceability Identify opportunities to improve document control and record-keeping processes Manage and track calibration schedules for tools and equipment Ensure calibrations are completed on time and maintain proper certification records Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers for calibration services Support change management by ensuring all updates are documented, reviewed, and auditable Promote compliance with company quality, safety, and operational standards Communicate effectively with operations, management, and external vendors
Qualifications and Experience Required:
Experience working with ISO 9001 or ISO-based Quality Management Systems Background in quality assurance, manufacturing, engineering, or a related field Strong knowledge of document control, records management, and audit support Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management systems Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
Experience coordinating calibration programs and maintaining calibration records Experience supporting internal or external audits Familiarity with machining, fabrication, or manufacturing environments Key Competencies Attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time management skills Analytical and problem-solving ability Clear written and verbal communication Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to quality, compliance, and continuous improvement Physical and Work Environment Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods Ability to access manufacturing areas and production workspaces Ability to lift up to 45 lbs occasionally Work performed in office and manufacturing environments with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures Occasional extended hours may be required based on operational demands Health, Safety and Quality The Quality Assurance Coordinator is required to follow all company health, safety, environmental, and quality policies to ensure compliance, product integrity, and a safe working environment.
