$100k-$140k/year Quality Manager We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to oversee daily operations within our Quality Department, manage a team of 3-5 employees, and serve as the primary quality liaison between customers, production, and engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision metal parts manufacturing , aerospace quality systems, and hands-on inspection processes. •Must have experience with metals in a manufacturing setting to be considered for this role•
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day quality operations and supervise quality personnel. Respond to customer inquiries, concerns, and corrective action requests. Perform and oversee inspection activities, gage control, and First Article Inspections (FAI/PPAP). Develop and maintain Inspection Method Sheets (IMS), work instructions, and quality procedures. Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with AS9100 and
ISO 9001
standards. Lead Root Cause Corrective Action investigations and customer quality initiatives. Inspect and measure in-process metal components and assist production as needed. Maintain quality records and verify material certifications, vendor certifications, and outside processing documentation. Interface daily with customers, suppliers, and outside service providers.
Qualifications:
Quality Management experience in a metal parts manufacturing environment . Strong knowledge of AS9100 and
ISO 9001
quality systems. Experience with auditing, PPAP, First Article Inspection, and corrective actions. Proficiency reading blueprints, GD&T, and customer specifications. Prior supervisory experience managing employees and production schedules. Experience with inspection equipment, gage control, and dimensional measurement.
