Job Description

As the Quality Supervisor at nVent in Millington, MD, you'll provide overall quality leadership, support, tools and procedures by working with the local leadership team to establish quality processes. Ensure these processes provide value to customers and all stakeholders, control process variability and reduce operating costs while working to establish and sustain common quality processes.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS ROLE
Supervise and lead a team ofquality technicians. Champion the application of nVent quality processes and tools, including the quality policy and quality documentation systems. Define, develop and deploy long-term strategies to achieve best-in-class systems and best-in-quality products and services. Act as guardian, custodian and promoter of company quality standards. Align quality objectives with overall business segment and enterprise quality leadership. Own quality Metrics/Dashboards and communication/storage forums. Champion changes in quality metrics, help introduce future metrics and dashboards, develop operational definitions to make it easy for the organization to report accurate and consistent metrics.
YOU HAVE
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or other related technical degree preferred. Ideally 3+ years of experience working in quality roles required. Ideally 2+ years of managerial experience required. Demonstrated mastery and ability to teach and coach quality tools and methods and the ability to apply six sigma and lean manufacturing principles and tools. Digital Literacy in ERP systems, Data Warehouse (e.g. Snowflake, Intelex, Salesforce, Excel or PowerPoint) and RCCM reporting (e.g. 8D, 8-step, PDCA, Quality Tools). Extensive knowledge in building Quality Management Systems and creating/improving Quality documentation systems and Procedures in compliance with
ISO 9001
2015. Experience implementing and maintaining
ISO 9001
2015 certifications. Additional lead auditor status and knowledge of
ISO 14001
2015 and
ISO 45001
2018 desired. Exceptional analytical, problem solving & root-cause analysis skills. Certified six sigma black belt level is a plus.

Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range:
$62,900.00 - $116,900.00 Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
