Quality Assurance Supervisor The Quality Assurance Supervisor provides leadership and direction to the plant in areas of responsibility including food safety, quality assurance, SQF and all other third party regulatory schemes. He/she works with the Production Manager to ensure the correct procedures are followed in accordance with Safe Quality Food (SQF), Kosher, Gluten Free, and any customer specific protocols. He/she must be capable of performing as an SQF practitioner, in conjunction with the Production Manager. Key Duties and Responsibilities Leads, coaches, and implements programs in training, safety, quality, communications, performance recognition, and internal employee development to drive peak employee engagement and efficiency. Coordinates with other departments to support SQF programs such as Customer Complaints, Supplier Approval, Training, etc. Monitors team operations and makes recommendations for continuous improvement Ensures all procedures, sampling, testing and inspections are aligned with plant quality procedures and trends all necessary data. Verifies production records for accuracy and completeness daily. Coordinates necessary in house and third-party testing and calibration to support SQF certification and quality standards. Supports quality investigations and corrective/preventative actions Supports cleaning and sanitation verification, oversees sanitation procedures and trains sanitation personnel as needed. Coordinates with outside vendors providing support services for food safety. Manages hold inventories, oversees disposition of non-conforming items. Assists in management of food safety programs and serves as key support for third-party and regulatory audits. Enforces and audits GMP's. Monitors incoming raw materials to ensure they meet regulatory and third-party requirements. Direct Reports No direct reports Requirements Minimum 2 years experience in a quality role, preferably in the food manufacturing sector working in an SQF facility. Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and occasional weekends between 6am
- 6pm Computer literacy, specifically ERP systems, Outlook, Word, and Excel. Bilingual (Spanish and English) highly preferred SQF Practitioner, HACCP Certification, PCQI Certification, and Internal Audit Certification (preferred but not required) Other Considerations Communication/Language Skills
