Job Description

JOB TITLE
Quality Manager
DEPARTMENT
Quality
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), including document control, record retention, and continuous improvement of quality procedures and work instructions
  • Ensure compliance with applicable customer, regulatory, and industry requirements relevant to electronics manufacturing (e.g., customer flow-downs, workmanship standards, and internal specifications)
  • Lead quality engineering team in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) using structured problem-solving methods; verify effectiveness and prevent recurrence
  • Lead customer quality activities, including complaint handling, 8D responses, RMAs, and on-time communication of containment and corrective actions
  • Train, coach, and develop quality team members and cross-functional personnel on quality requirements, inspection methods, and problem-solving tools
  • Lead and support internal/customer/supplier/third-party audits, coordinate audit readiness activities, corrective actions, and closure evidence
  • Monitor and report key quality metrics (scrap, yield, DPMO, RMA, COPQ); drive action plans to improve performance
  • Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities, including sampling plans, gage selection, and inspection documentation
  • Manage supplier quality performance, including supplier approvals, scorecards, incoming defect containment, and supplier corrective actions as needed All other duties as assigned by company mangager/leadership
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
  • Excellent mathematical and statistical skills
  • Previous electronic manufacturing background with a QC environment preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to read and interpret customer assembly prints and quality documents
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with a team or independently as needed
  • Must be able to read, write, communicate, and comprehend the English language
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test and criminal background check
  • Must be able to meet all physical requirements as outlined in this position description
  • Must follow all company policies outlined in the EI Microcircuits Employee Handbook of Personnel Policies
  • Complete all orientation and training needs as written in policy EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related technical field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Previous experience in an electronics manufacturing environment required, including exposure to PCBA or electromechanical assemblies

Pay:
$115,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
