FOREMAN/SUPERVISOR
(Quality Control) Bollinger Mississippi Shipbuilding, LLC United States, Mississippi, Pascagoula 900 Bayou Casotte Parkway (Show on map) May 29, 2026 Quality Control
GENERAL FUNCTION
Performs in-process, in-bound, and final inspections of manufactured products to ensure compliance with quality standards, owner specifications, American Bureau of Shipbuilding (ABS) and or United States Coast Guard (USCG) requirements.
TYPICAL DUTIES
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities. Selects, supervises, instructs, assigns workload and evaluates Quality Assurance Inspectors. Prepares and maintains a written quality control program that meets company standards governing codes and regulations. Conducts audits to prevent quality problems, identifies areas of concern, and instructs production personnel in proper procedures. Educate production team on quality control issues and work with departmental managers to improve overall company safety and product quality Ensure that all of the quality check procedures put in place by the company are followed during every production phase. Create process checklists and coordinate quality inspections with departmental managers.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Considerable knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering, and practices as applicable to division products. Considerable knowledge of welding processes. Good knowledge of measuring devices and tools and the ability to instruct inspectors on the proper operation. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of personnel, customers and regulatory agents.. Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE & TRAINING
Completion of a standard high school education supplemented by course work in drafting, industrial technology or related areas, and extensive experience in plant operations and supervision; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which results in the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
