Job Description

Client Summary:
Our client is a leader in household and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) manufacturing, dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance. Operating in highly regulated categories, they prioritize quality integrity across multiple facilities. As they continue to drive continuous improvement initiatives, they are seeking a strategic yet hands-on leader to oversee their Quality Management System and ensure audit readiness across all organizational levels.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Quality Manager to lead and improve the organization's QMS across household/CPG and regulated product categories. Reporting directly to the VP of Quality, this role is the primary owner of all Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions. You will ensure compliance with
ISO 9001, ISO
22716, GMP, and EPA requirements while leading critical social compliance audits such as NSF and Sedex/SMETA. This is a high-visibility leadership position designed for a candidate who can balance high-level system maintenance with hands-on coaching of a dedicated quality team.
Key Responsibilities QMS Management:
Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System while creating and updating all necessary policies and documentation.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all operations meet ISO 9001, GMP, HACCP, and EPA standards, as well as specific customer requirements.
Audit Leadership:
Lead hands-on preparation, execution, and corrective action follow-up for internal, external, and social compliance audits including NSF and Sedex/SMETA.
Continuous Improvement:
Manage CAPA processes, non-conformances, and deviations to drive efficiency, reduce defects, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Floor Operations:
Oversee product inspections, testing activities, and equipment calibration while ensuring effective pest control maintenance.
Team Development:
Lead, coach, and provide best-practice training to the quality team, including technicians and inspectors.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with production, engineering, and supply chain to resolve quality issues and optimize manufacturing performance.
Stakeholder Management:
Address customer complaints, conduct investigations, monitor supplier performance, and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies.
Technical Requirements Experience:
5-7 years of professional experience in QA/QC, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Science, or a related field.
Systems Expertise:
Demonstrated experience managing or maintaining ISO or similar quality systems.
Methodology Knowledge:
Deep understanding of root-cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
Core Competencies:
Strong leadership, analytical skills, and attention to detail, paired with ethical and data privacy awareness.
Certifications:
Professional certifications such as Six Sigma or Lead Auditor are considered a significant asset.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
