Full Job Description Client Overview:
Our client is a packaging manufacturer specializing in paper bags and other packaging products. They are committed to delivering high-quality products, exceptional customer service, and a culture of continuous improvement. They are now looking for a Quality Assurance and Quality Control Supervisor .
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$80k - $100k
Position Overview:
The Quality Assurance and Quality Control Supervisor will oversee all quality activities throughout the manufacturing process to ensure products meet customer and company standards. The Quality Assurance and Quality Control Supervisor will lead quality personnel, maintain quality systems, and support continuous improvement efforts across production operations. This role may require up to 20% international travel to support supplier audits, production oversight, and quality initiatives. Responsibilities of the
Quality Assurance and Quality Control Supervisor:
Manage and execute the company's quality inspection program for all production orders. Supervise, coach, and develop the quality team. Inspect incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products for compliance with quality standards. Maintain quality documentation, inspection records, procedures, and reporting systems. Investigate quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with domestic and international manufacturing partners to ensure consistent quality standards. Communicate quality findings and recommendations to management. Analyze quality data and prepare reports to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency. Travel internationally, as needed, to support supplier quality programs, audits, and manufacturing operations. Required Experience/Skills for the
Quality Assurance and Quality Control Supervisor:
Minimum 5 years of Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment. Minimum 2 years of experience managing or supervising employees. Experience in packaging, paper products, converting, or flexible manufacturing. Strong understanding of quality systems, inspection methods, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis, reporting, and spreadsheet management. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work cross-functionally. Ability and willingness to travel internationally up to 20%. Preferred Experience/Skills for the
Quality Assurance and Quality Control Supervisor:
Experience with paper bags, paper, or packaging products. Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience.
Education Requirements:
Associate's degree or higher in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and industry experience will be considered.
