Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Quality Assurance to lead quality initiatives and drive innovation across their organization. Key Responsibilities As the Director of Quality Assurance, you will be a vital leader and subject matter expert, guiding technical excellence and compliance: •
Technical Guidance & Expertise :
Provide technical guidance on food manufacturing and product quality to plant personnel, customers, and sales staff. •
Strategic Leadership :
Champion departmental initiatives and act as a Subject Matter Expert in applicable technologies, policies, programs, and systems management. •
Sustainability Innovation :
Develop, lead, and inspire Sustainability Innovation across the organization, ensuring alignment with the corporate vision and strategy. •
Industry Knowledge :
Utilize extensive knowledge in Food Science and Manufacturing to inform and stay abreast of innovative strategies and processes. •
Quality Support :
Assist the QA department by cross-training on tasks related to product quality/safety and audit compliance. •
Regulatory Compliance:
Research Food Manufacturing Regulatory and Key Customer Sustainability initiatives and brief the management team when action is required to maintain compliance. •
Communication :
Interpret technical product inquiries and provide timely, expert advice. What You'll Bring We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented leader who can excel with minimal supervision: •
Execution Excellence:
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and adhere to aggressive deadlines. •
Communication Skills:
Excellent English written communication and organizational skills; the ability to interpret customer requirements and advise Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and QA through clear communication. •
Drive & Detail:
A strong track record of attention to detail, intrinsic motivation, and an agile learning ability. •
Regulatory Expertise:
Current knowledge of
USDA/FDA/ORGANIC
Regulations as they pertain to labeling, standards of identity, allergens, food safety, and sustainability. Education and Experience •
Experience :
10+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Manager, specifically within the food manufacturing industry. This should include a primary focus on manufacturing, product quality, product development, or regulatory compliance. •
Education :

Pay:
