3-5+ years of quality leadership in manufacturing required Our well-established and growing manufacturing client in the Albany, NY area is seeking a Quality Manager to lead Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving quality standards , ensuring regulatory compliance , and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the organization. This position offers a blend of strategic oversight and hands-on involvement, making it ideal for a quality professional who thrives in a dynamic, cross-functional manufacturing environment. Responsibilities of the Quality Manager will include: Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) Ensure compliance with ISO standards , customer requirements , and internal procedures Oversee supplier quality programs , including audits and validation of raw materials Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, consistency, and reliability Partner with production, maintenance, procurement, and planning teams on quality initiatives Lead, mentor, and develop the quality team , setting performance expectations and supporting growth Provide training on quality standards, inspection methods, and documentation practices Promote a culture of accountability, quality ownership, and continuous improvement Lead internal audits and coordinate external audits , including ISO and customer audits Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) Maintain accurate quality documentation , reporting systems, and compliance records Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns and third-party audits Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve quality issues and improve processes Qualifications for the role of

Quality Manager:

Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) 3-5+ years of quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of ISO standards , QMS implementation, and audit processes Experience with root cause analysis, CAPA, and statistical process control (SPC) Certifications such as ISO Lead Auditor, Six Sigma (Green Belt+), or CQM highly desirable Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Ability to read and interpret technical documentation , engineering drawings, and specifications Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external partners Proven leadership and team development capabilities
