Program QA/Technical Standards Project Lead Position Overview:
The Program Special Inspections Director serves as the senior authority responsible for all Program Level Special Inspections (SI) activities across the Metropolitan Park development. This role functions as the primary DOB signatory, owner's representative, and liaison to all Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs). The Director ensures uniform compliance across multiple permits, manages inspection strategies, and mitigates regulatory and schedule risks.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Program Technical Standards Manual and discipline-specific QA criteria. Perform QA audits of active inspection work and associated documentation. Provide technical interpretation for complex inspections (e.g., structural, geotechnical, fire protection). Validate inspection results and ensure alignment with design documents and DOB requirements. Review nonconformance reports (NCRs) and assist in developing corrective action plans. Support training and upskilling for MWBE inspection firms participating in the program. Coordinate technical interfaces between design engineers, contractors, and inspection teams.
Required Qualifications:
Licensed PE or another relevant advanced technical credential. Minimum 10 years of QA/QC, engineering, or inspection experience. Expertise in multiple SI categories preferred.
Pay:
$215,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year
