QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER
Location:
Plattsburgh, NY (weekly travel to Boucherville, Canada)

POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all QA and QC activities across the organization.

Reporting to the VP Operations, this role ensures that quality systems, processes, and controls are effectively implemented and maintained across all sites, supporting product reliability, compliance, and operational performance.

The role combines leadership, system ownership, and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment between Quality, Engineering, Production, and Procurement. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESQuality System Leadership

2015 certification Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable standards and requirements Lead internal and external audits Ensure sustainability of quality certifications Process Improvement Lead and participate in process improvement initiatives Identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions Improve operational performance through structured quality systems Drive continuous improvement across production and quality processes Team Leadership & Development Train, coach, and develop QA/QC supervisors and team members Ensure proper understanding and application of quality procedures Establish clear expectations and accountability within the team Support development of quality competencies across the organization Quality Control & Oversight Oversee inspection activities (incoming, in-process, final) Ensure proper implementation of inspection plans and controls Monitor quality performance and identify trends Supplier Quality Involvement Participate in supplier selection and evaluation Ensure supplier quality requirements are defined and applied Support resolution of supplier-related quality issues Tools, Systems & Data Define and manage quality management tools across sites Ensure proper use of quality metrics (PPM, KPIs, etc.) Support implementation of structured quality methodologies (FMECA, CMMI, etc.)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Hold a university certificate in Quality Assurance or equivalent experience Have a minimum of 8 years of experience in quality management Have strong knowledge of:
ISO 9001
(2008 & 2015)
IPC/WHMA-A-620
(wiring) Metrology and testing Manufacturing processes and control points Have knowledge of P-FMECA, CMMI, and quality metrics (PPM) Demonstrate strong analytical thinking, rigor, and judgment Have strong leadership and coaching abilities Are highly organized and disciplined Are bilingual (French/English) — required Are able to travel freely to the United States
