- Responsible for the Quality Management System (QMS): Develop, implement, and manage the plant's QMS, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Drive continuous improvement of quality processes and procedures leveraging and implementing the World Class Manufacturing system.
- Partner cross functionally with MFG operations, category business team, and design engineering to develop project plans to achieve internal and external quality targets; 12MIS, 1MIS, and CAL.
- Have the technical competency to collaborate with design and process engineering in understanding, implementing and ensuring a flawless execution of Design for Assembly / Design for
- Manufacturing requirements during new product introduction and ownership related to the ongoing monitoring / audit of the established DFA (Design for Assembly) / DFM (Design For Manufacturing) requirements.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, develop, and manage a team of quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians. Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and excellence throughout the organization.Compliance & Audits:
Ensure the plant complies with all internal, external, and regulatory quality standards. Manage and participate in internal and external quality audits.Quality Control & Assurance:
Oversee all quality control activities, including incoming material inspection, in-process checks, and final product testing. Establish and maintain product specifications and quality standards.- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) &
Corrective Actions:
Lead investigations into quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conformances. Implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.Data Analysis & Reporting:
Use statistical process control (SPC) and other data analysis tools to monitor key quality metrics. Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management.Supplier Quality:
Collaborate with the Supplier Quality team to ensure our suppliers meet our quality standards.Training:
Develop and deliver quality training programs for all plant personnel to enhance quality awareness and skills. ## Minimum requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in implementing and managing a QMS (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, 8D problem-solving).
- 3+ years of combined experience in a manufacturing Quality environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required ## Preferred skills and experiences
- 7+ years of combined experience in a manufacturing Quality environment
- Proven experience in large, complex plant environment
- World Class manufacturing (WCM) and Lean Manufacturing Methods experience
- Six Sigma / Shainin Black Belt certification is highly desirable.
