2016 Corrective action quality audits Quality control statistical data analysis Statistical Process Control Continuous improvement standards implementation Dimensional inspection Compliance audits & assessments Process improvement Employee training Dimensional measurements Statistical analysis Math Quality compliance management Quality assurance within automotive industry Quality audits PPAP Full Job Description We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Manager who will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and ensuring compliance of a Quality System to ensure that all products and services meet customer specifications and achieve superior quality and reliability levels.
Duties of the position include:
  • Management representative for the quality system. Lead the internal audit program and report on the performance of the system.
  • Champion TQM to ensure customer satisfaction in all products and services.
  • Create strategic plans for the quality organization and participate in corporate strategic quality and business planning.
  • Communicate with customers to ensure quality requirements are well defined, and resolutions to quality problems meet customer expectations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, quality representatives and company personnel to ensure quality system issues are corrected.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections to identify any defects or non-conformities.
  • Supervise Quality Assurance Inspectors
  • Aid in recognizing the need for new gages during quality planning process and assist in development of gages when requested.
  • Ensure daily implementation of various aspects of the quality system, including inspection operations, calibration, corrective action procedures, document and data control, etc.
  • Assist cross-functional teams in dispositioning nonconforming products and resolving quality issues in the various manufacturing areas.
  • Coordinate the dimensional inspection of sample submissions for new products and engineering changes. Aid in processing PPAP's.
  • Assist in evaluating warranty claims and returns and provide feedback to customers.
  • Assist the Purchasing Manager in Supplier Quality System development.
  • Train employees on quality control procedures and best practices
  • Prepare all necessary reports as required by customers and staff personnel.
  • Position requires hands-on inspection - 25% of the time.
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Degree in Quality Assurance Management or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience in Quality Assurance with emphasis towards TQM and
ISO 9001/IATF 16949
environments.
  • 2+ years management experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Formal education in courses related to statistical analysis, precision measurement, process capability (mathematics, statistics, and industrial practices) are essential.
