- Full-time Quality Assurance Manager Location Greater Cleveland, Ohio area Employment Type Full-Time Reports To Executive Leadership Position Summary A growing manufacturing and processing company is seeking a highly organized, systems-driven Quality Assurance Manager to build, lead, and maintain the highest standards of quality across all company operations.
ISO 9001
2015 and AS9100D quality standards while strengthening the company's quality systems, documentation controls, audit readiness, process standardization, and product release procedures. The Quality Assurance Manager will have ownership over quality-related functions including documentation, audits, material certification, inspection, product release, corrective actions, process controls, and continuous improvement across manufacturing, thermal processing, chemical processing, and precious metal recovery operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly accountable, and capable of working independently with minimal oversight while improving internal systems, processes, and infrastructure. Preferred Qualifications Qualified candidates should have: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, Industrial Technology, Quality Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience 5+ years of experience in quality management within manufacturing, aerospace, metals, chemical processing, or a related environment Strong understanding ofISO 9001
2015 and AS9100D standards and certification requirements Proven experience managing internal and external audits, including surveillance and re-certification audits Experience with document control systems, QMS platforms, ERP systems, or structured digital filing systems Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as wire drawing, stamping, preform manufacturing, thermal processing, or chemical refining Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to operate in a high-accountability environment involving high-value materials and strict customer requirements Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesQuality Systems & Compliance Establish, implement, and maintain quality systems compliant withISO 9001
2015 and AS9100D Lead efforts to maintain best-in-class quality and operational standards Support the unification of quality requirements across multiple departments or divisions Own and manage the company's Quality Management System Ensure continuous compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal requirements Audit Ownership Lead and execute internal, customer, surveillance, and re-registration audits Conduct routine internal audits, document findings, and maintain audit records Ensure continuous audit readiness through proactive monitoring and corrective action Manage corrective and preventative actions, root cause analysis, and follow-up activities Track audit findings through closure and verify effectiveness of corrective actions Documentation & System Management Build, manage, and continuously improve the company's quality documentation system Maintain document organization, revision tracking, and version control Develop and manage quality forms, form numbers, revision histories, and controlled documents Lead annual review and revision of quality forms, procedures, and documentation Ensure all documentation aligns with ISO and AS9100D standards Process Development & Standardization Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions Ensure processes are clearly defined, repeatable, measurable, and compliant Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing, refining, inspection, and operational workflows Work cross-functionally with production, engineering, operations, shipping, receiving, and leadership teams Material Control & Certification Manage incoming material inspection, validation, and traceability Create, manage, and issue material certifications Ensure complete traceability and compliance for raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods Maintain accurate quality records for customer and regulatory review Inspection, Testing & Product Release Maintain authority over inspection and final release of manufactured products and materials Ensure products meet internal specifications, customer requirements, and applicable quality standards Lead or oversee laboratory testing, validation, verification, and inspection processes Perform or oversee precision measurement of manufactured components using tools such as calipers, comparators, pin gauges, and related inspection equipment Verify dimensional accuracy and compliance with customer specifications and industry standards Manufacturing & Process Quality Oversight Oversee quality standards across operations such as: Chemical processing Precious metal recovery Thermal heat treating Wire drawing Stamping Preform manufacturing Related manufacturing equipment and processes Support safe, efficient, and compliant equipment operation Identify quality risks and recommend process improvements Equipment & Calibration Manage calibration systems for scales, gauges, inspection tools, and measurement equipment Ensure equipment used in production, testing, and inspection meets accuracy and compliance requirements Maintain calibration records and support inspection system reliability Customer Quality & Issue Resolution Handle customer quality concerns, disputes, and non-conformance reports Lead investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders Ensure timely and effective resolution of quality-related concerns General Responsibilities Support company-wide quality, safety, and operational goals Collaborate with leadership and department teams to improve processes and performance Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment Foster a culture of accountability, precision, continuous improvement, and operational excellence Communicate clearly and professionally across all levels of the organization Uphold high standards of integrity, discipline, and attention to detail Compensation & Benefits Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.Benefits may include:
