Job Title:
Quality Supervisor Job Description The Quality Supervisor / Lead Quality Technician leads the team responsible for carrying out the Quality Assurance functions. This position manages the Quality Management System and acts as the AS9100 Coordinator for internal, customer, and third-party audits. Responsibilities Measure, monitor, and report incoming and outgoing quality levels and internal process compliance. Monitor and update CAR/PAR/Action Item mechanisms and logs, reporting on quality improvement. Serve as the point of contact for customers regarding quality-related questions or problems. Direct the analysis of internal and external failures to develop corrective action on returned products, customer complaints, and corrective/preventative action programs. Manage the identification and control of non-conforming materials. Facilitate the internal audit program and lead customer/agency audits. Function as the official AS9100 designated contact person. Monitor the ESD program and conduct routine quality assurance inspections. Establish and report key quality performance measures. Take authority over quality matters throughout the company and intervene with issues affecting product quality. Manage incoming quality inspection/test activities according to related drawings, specifications, and documented procedures. Assist Manufacturing and Engineering with production support activities. Drive continual improvement. Skills & Qualifications 2 years hands-on experience in Quality leadeship Ability to interact positively with others at all levels and with customers. Proficient in written and oral communications. Knowledge of quality systems standards and tools likeISO 9001
2015, ASQ, Six Sigma, Lean is strongly preferred. Decision-making ability in a timely manner. Reliable in making and keeping commitments. Able to thrive under pressure. Familiarity with IPC-A-610, IPC-JSTD-001, IPC-7711/7721, FAI, PPAP, AQL, and other Quality Improvement Methodologies. Technical experience in the electronic field is preferred. Electronics degree preferred but not required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wooster, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
