Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented engineer to enhance our quality assurance processes across multiple construction and material production sites. This role is critical to maintaining our high standards and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Implement Quality Standards:
Design and maintain quality control systems for asphalt, aggregate, concrete, and construction projects. Develop annual quality control plan. Help Shelly & Sands stay up to date with new technologies and paving practices.
Conduct Inspections and Audits:
Perform regular site inspections, material testing, and process audits to ensure compliance with internal and external standards. Ensure timely and proper equipment calibration. Collaborate with
Project Teams:
Work closely with engineers, project personnel, plant managers, and clients to ensure quality expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Help resolve quality issues, troubleshoot, and provide recommendations.

Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, corrective actions, and compliance reports. Ensure timely and proper equipment calibration and keep documentation updated. Review Intelligent Compaction and Paver Mounted Thermal Profiler data.

Identify areas for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance product and service quality. Recruit and continue to grow workforce.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Be able to obtain ODOT level 2 & 3 Asphalt certifications as well as Level 1, 2, & 3 aggregate certifications. Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites
