Blanchard, OK Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Outdoor work Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Full Job Description The Quality Control Manager (QCM) is responsible for implementing and managing the project-specific Quality Control Plan for commercial roofing projects performed under United States Army Corps of Engineers contracts. This position ensures all work complies with contract documents, USACE standards, manufacturer specifications, safety requirements, and applicable building codes. The QCM serves as the primary point of contact for all quality control matters and works closely with project management, field supervision, subcontractors, inspectors, and government representatives to ensure successful project execution. Develop, implement, and maintain the project Quality Control Plan in accordance with USACE requirements. Conduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections for all definable features of work.
Ensure roofing installations comply with:
Contract specifications Submittals and approved shop drawings Manufacturer requirements Safety and OSHA standards USACE quality standards Coordinate and schedule inspections with government quality assurance personnel. Maintain daily QC reports, inspection logs, testing documentation, and deficiency tracking logs. Verify materials received onsite meet project specifications and approved submittals. Monitor subcontractor performance and workmanship quality. Identify deficiencies, document corrective actions, and verify completion of repairs or corrections. Attend project meetings including progress meetings, coordination meetings, and preparatory meetings. Ensure all testing and inspections are completed and documented properly. Assist with project closeout documentation including warranties, punch lists, and as-built records. Work collaboratively with Project Managers and Superintendents to maintain project schedules while ensuring quality standards are met. Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial roofing quality control, construction management, or related field. Experience working on federal or USACE construction projects preferred. Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems. Familiarity with
EM 385-1-1
safety requirements preferred but not required. Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software (RMS) preferred but not required. Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment. Ability to work both in office and field environments, including sitting for extended periods of 5-8 hours per day in a jobsite trailer while performing administrative, scheduling, budgeting, and project coordination duties. Must also be able to walk and navigate active construction sites for extended periods, including uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and confined spaces, while working in varying weather conditions. Requires the ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and occasionally lift or carry up to 25-50 pounds. Must be able to wear required PPE, perform detailed visual inspections, communicate effectively with field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and clients, and respond quickly to changing project conditions and jobsite emergencies.
