ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 Support efforts to implement and maintain

IATF QMS

certification, where applicable, across the organization.  Support efforts to implement and maintain

ISO 14000 EMS

certification, where applicable, across the organization.  Lead investigation activities to drive improvements in customer returns.  Develop and maintain a supplier control program which includes physical assessments of targeted suppliers.  Lead and maintain efforts to implement document control systems which apply across the organization.  Participate in internal audit program in applicable facilities.  Lead kaizen activities in support of strategic objectives.  Participate and contribute to required management review activities.  Regular and predictable attendance.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 Support activities to implement visual management and SPC activities.  When required, monitor and document the statistical outcome of process(es).  Achieves financial objectives by preparing the quality assurance budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.  Manage and effectively execute on projects as assigned by senior leadership.  Provide leadership and direction to a team of direct reports and will serve as the point of contact on all quality topics on assigned product categories. As needed, will engage in activities with equipment manufacturers, industry colleagues, and regulatory agencies.

AUTHORITY

All personnel are responsible for quality and therefore have the authority to stop production, if necessary to correct quality problems.

REQUIREMENTS

 Knowledge of the principles and techniques of supervision.  Knowledge of the principles and techniques of production management.  Working knowledge of statistical process control (SPC).  Knowledge of team problem solving concepts. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and verbally with customers and subcontractors.  Experience in leading, managing, and developing direct reports.  Bachelor's degree in chemistry, engineering or computer science. Or 'Life's University' work experience that trumps, at the discretion of Management.

PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE 10

years' experience in Quality Assurance (required). Experience of working with and in an environment where industry specific QMS Certification's are governing. (ISO / IATF preferred) 6 years Quality Assurance management (preferred). Knowledge of a high-volume production environment, preferably in the cut and sew or automotive accessory industry.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to go out on the plant floor Able to sit or stand for extended period of time (may require sitting or standing all day at any given time in any combination.) 50% travel required U.S. & International (ground/air)

Pay:

$90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
