This company is an aerospace fabrication and machining shop.

Primary Function:
The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems that ensure products and manufacturing processes meet established quality, regulatory, and customer requirements. Essential Job Functions•
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain quality management systems in compliance with ISO 9000 and applicable industry standards Conduct supplier audits and manage supplier quality performance to ensure adherence to quality requirements Utilize statistical process control methods and quality data analysis to improve manufacturing processes and reduce scrap Create and maintain control plans, inspection records, and quality documentation to support manufacturing operations and compliance requirements Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions Ensure compliance with AWS D17.1, ASME, aerospace, and welding quality specifications as applicable Oversee calibration systems, weld procedures, qualifications, and welder certifications Supervise quality inspectors, welding inspectors, and document control personnel Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency and quality performance Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences.
Education and Experience:
(Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities) Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment preferred Strong knowledge of ISO 9000, NADCAP, and quality systems implementation Experience conducting supplier audits and managing supplier quality programs Proficiency in statistical process control and quality data analysis Ability to interpret aerospace specifications and welding inspection methods Experience with TIG, orbital welding, brazing, and aerospace manufacturing processes preferred ASQ Certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma Green Belt, or Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification preferred Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Experience with quality management software and data visualization tools preferred ITAR•Must be a US Citizen Background•Pass a post-offer background verification. Work Environment Standard machine shop environment with various types of machinery. Appropriate safety garments (PPE) must be worn.
