Lancaster, PA | On-Site Our client seeks an experienced Director of Quality Assurance to join their operations team, based primarily out of their Lancaster, PA facility. Compensation:
$150,000 salary Health and Dental Insurance Benefits Paid Time Off 401k + Company Matching A Day in the Life of the Director of Quality Assurance In this role, you'll own the full quality assurance function across two facilities, setting the standard for how products are made, inspected, and delivered. From managing CAPA programs and supplier audits to partnering with customer service and production teams, your work will be the backbone of this company's commitment to product excellence and customer satisfaction. You'll be both a strategic architect and a hands-on leader, building systems and culture that keep quality at the center of every operation.
Responsibilities include:
Develop, implement, and continuously improve company-wide quality assurance systems ensuring product consistency, compliance, and customer satisfaction Oversee all quality control testing, inspections, documentation, and reporting across both facilities Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) programs to address non-conformances, internal defects, and customer complaints Evaluate and strengthen supplier quality programs, including vendor audits, scorecards, and performance monitoring Oversee warehouse quality control processes to monitor vendor adherence, product handling, and conformance to company standards Develop and maintain SOPs aligned with applicable industry and regulatory standards Partner with Plant Managers, warehouse leadership, and Operations to integrate quality programs into daily workflows Collaborate with Customer Service to identify and resolve product, packaging, or system issues impacting customers Work with IT and Development teams to improve traceability, documentation, and reporting systems
Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Operations, or a related field 7+ years of progressive quality assurance leadership experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or food production environment Strong working knowledge of
FDA, GMP, ISO
9001, and other relevant quality and compliance standards Proven experience implementing and sustaining quality management systems and supplier quality programs Demonstrated track record of improving compliance metrics, reducing defects, and driving vendor accountability Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills About the
