QUALITY MANAGER

MUST-HAVES

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Metallurgy, or related technical discipline

Required Experience:

Minimum 5 years of QA/QC leadership experience within metals manufacturing Deep understanding of quality systems, audits, certifications, and corrective action processes

Strongly Preferred:

Strong experience with premium remelted products including VAR (Vacuum Arc Remelting) and/or ESR (Electroslag Remelting) processes

Required Skills & Competencies:

Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities Ability to lead teams while building strong working relationships across departments Strong work ethic with continuous improvement mindset Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join an industry-leading manufacturer with a reputation for producing some of the highest quality specialty steel products in the world. This is a hands-on, technically driven role leading quality systems and certification efforts for highly engineered premium steel products involving advanced vacuum induction melting and remelting processes. You will serve as a key leader responsible for maintaining and advancing the Quality Management System (QMS) supporting premium remelted products. This is a visible leadership role where quality is not just a department, it's the foundation of everything produced.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM LEADERSHIP

Lead and maintain the Quality Management System for premium products Serve as Management Representative for the Premium Products QMS, ensuring compliance, effectiveness, and integrity Report QMS performance metrics and recommendations to executive leadership Drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen quality systems and processes Ensure quality discipline across a highly technical manufacturing operation

CERTIFICATION, COMPLIANCE & AUDIT MANAGEMENT

Manage external quality certifications and compliance requirements Oversee internal and external audits with thorough preparation and follow-through Lead corrective action processes and ensure timely closure of findings Review and approve certified test reports with technical precision Maintain audit readiness and documentation integrity

CUSTOMER QUALITY & PRODUCT INTEGRITY

Drive customer-focused quality standards throughout the organization Ensure product integrity for highly engineered premium steel products Support customer satisfaction through rigorous quality oversight Maintain the highest standards for specialty steel production involving advanced remelting processes
