Job Description:
Overview The George J Howe Company, a national distributor & manufacturer of confectionary, nuts and coffee products since 1927, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented SQF/Quality Control Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations. This position involves overseeing quality management systems, conducting audits, and implementing quality control measures to enhance product integrity and food safety.
Pay:
$60,000 Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards. Conduct regular quality audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to HACCP and CGMP guidelines. Oversee the quality control processes throughout the production cycle, ensuring that all products meet specified quality criteria. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze data and provide insights for continuous improvement initiatives. Manage projects related to quality assurance, ensuring timely completion and alignment with organizational goals. Perform required food safety training to company employees as needed. Proper food safety training is required for all new hires with ongoing food safety training for existing employees. Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics, audit findings, and corrective actions taken. Communicate directly with customers experiencing a complaint or problem with product quality and resolve the issues. All complaints should be documented and kept up date. Skills Strong knowledge of Quality Management principles and practices. Proficiency in HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) methodologies. Experience conducting Quality Audits and implementing corrective actions as necessary. Familiarity with Quality Control processes and techniques. Ability to fabricate solutions to address quality issues effectively. Understanding of Quality Systems and their application in manufacturing environments. Excellent Project Management skills, with the ability to lead initiatives from conception through execution. Strong analytical skills to evaluate data and drive decision-making processes. Comprehensive knowledge of CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) regulations. Proven experience in Quality Control roles, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining high standards.
