Job Description

Backed by advanced technology, lifecycle services and an industry-leading field organization, we elevate customer performance, turn goals into real-world results and help move society forward Quality Manager How you will do it Develop, implement, and maintain systems to track performance of manufacturing processes and external suppliers. Prepare, review, and evaluate data and develop recommendations for use by facility management. Support incoming inspection, instrument calibration, internal audits, supplier management, supplier audits, corrective and preventative actions, non-conformances, in-process testing and inspection, final testing and inspection, and ISO certification. Support leadership in driving quality culture and quality improvements within the organization. Lead projects involving implementation of quality improvement strategies, measurement, and training. Identify, implement, and document continuous improvement activities. Investigate, analyze, and disposition NCRs, and in the process, understand root causes and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Work with suppliers and purchasing to resolve Supplier Corrective Actions and verify implementation of those actions by our suppliers. Perform root cause investigations (using 8D as a problem-solving tool) and present findings to engineering, quality, service, and manufacturing personnel. Respond to quality concerns from clients about Synchrony products and quality assurance methods and controls. Identify, support and track Corrective and Preventive Actions and assure timely closure. Evaluate performance of Quality Management System (QMS) with QA Manager and maintain/update quality forms/documents, as needed. Develop quality plans and other controls to ensure manufacturing processes produce work-in-process and finished goods that meet specified quality standards. Collaborate with other internal departments to recommend and implement changes to product designs, processes, or business practices to resolve quality issues, produce solutions, and ensure adherence to quality standards. Work with manufacturing leadership in training personnel to reduce quality problems and increase understanding of quality goals. What you will need Required Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, or related technical field 5+ years of experience in a quality/engineering-related position in a manufacturing environment. Strong technical aptitude and ability to lead technical discussions as needed. Knowledge of quality management systems, including
ISO 9001
Preferred:
Certified Quality Engineer (ASQ); Six Sigma Green or Black Belt; Experience with the manufacturing of printed circuit board assemblies and/or manufacturing of electromechanical devices such as magnetic bearings, motors or linear actuators. Use basic measurement devices, such as micrometer calipers and indicator gauges. Read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics. Strong organization and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Exhibit a high-level of self-motivation, sense of urgency and comfort in making recommendations across broad teams. Must have proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
HIRING SALARY RANGE
$100,000 - $150,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
