12+ years About the job We are seeking an experienced and strategic Functional QA Manager with over 12 years of experience in Commercial Lines insurance within the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry. As a QA Manager, you will lead and oversee all aspects of quality assurance and testing activities for our software solutions tailored specifically for Commercial Lines insurance operations. You will be responsible for managing a team of QA professionals, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Commercial Lines insurance, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in software testing and quality assurance. Responsibilities Extensive hands-on experience with Commercial Lines insurance processes, products, coverages, and underwriting guidelines. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of QA professionals. Proven track record in leading QA initiatives, managing resources, budgets, and timelines, and delivering successful outcomes in complex projects. Utilize Agile methodologies to drive efficient testing processes and deliver high-quality software solutions. Continuously improve testing processes and strategies to enhance overall quality and efficiency. Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of software delivery in the Commercial Lines insurance domain.
Requirements Must Have:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Insurance, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications relevant to P&C insurance or software testing are highly desirable. Minimum of 12+ years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing roles within the Property & Casualty insurance industry, with a strong focus on Commercial Lines. Hands-on experience with legacy systems and participation in system migration/conversion projects (such as Mainframe to Guidewire, Insurity, or similar platforms), indicating solid understanding of batch processing and traditional mainframe-based architectures Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to make timely and informed decisions in high-pressure situations, balancing competing priorities and constraints. Strong expertise in test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, or similar, with a proven ability to automate Commercial Lines insurance-specific test scenarios. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, testing techniques, and best practices. Proficiency in Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments. Solid knowledge of test management tools such as HP ALM, Jira, ADO, Rally or similar. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience working in Agile environment following Onsite Offshore mode. Understanding of end-user perspectives and the ability to advocate for the end-user experience during testing. Good to
