Quality Job Summary:
Utilizing education, experience and judgment, this position is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the company's quality assurance and quality control systems across multiple locations. As the sole quality leader in the organization, this role ensures that all products, processes, and procedures meet internal and external quality standards. The Quality Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, maintain compliance, and foster a culture of quality throughout the company. 50% travel required between sites in CA and Nevada as well as occasional supplier or customer visits.Job Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain the company's quality management system (QMS) in accordance with applicable standards and regulations Defines, and if applicable leads execution of, the strategy for ISO900x and AS9100x compliance and/or certification Develops and implements quality standards, procedures, and controls to ensure products meet established standards of quality including reliability, usability, and performance. Maintain documentation and necessary filings for environmental, fire, and other safety regulations Develops the strategy for, and executes or leads the execution of, periodic reliability testing for existing and new products Lead quality initiatives and serve as the primary point of contact for all quality-related matters, including investigating quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits as required Establish and monitor quality metrics, analyze data, and report on quality performance to senior management Develop and deliver quality training to employees to promote awareness and adherence to quality standards Work closely with production, engineering, and other departments to ensure quality requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle Manage supplier quality and coordinate with vendors to resolve quality issues May be responsible for managing a team of quality professionals. Experience with Datacom transceivers is a plusExperience and Technical Skills Required :
Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field Proven experience in quality management, preferably as the sole quality professional in a company Strong knowledge of quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to work independently and influence others to achieve quality objectives Ability to legally work in the US without sponsorship Work from within either our Pleasanton, CA office or Zephyr Cove, NV office (remote work is occasionally permitted) Strong familiarity with or implementing ISO9001 or AS9100 is a plus but not requiredPreferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
