Role Description Under the direction of the Quality Manager, the QA Supervisor ensures adherence to quality principles across all projects, including inspections and compliance audits. This role supervises technical and administrative functions, serves as a Quality Representative for ISO, UL, and ETL audits, and leads root cause analysis and corrective actions at the SC facility. The QA Supervisor also manages the welding program (AWS Inspector certification required) and supports electrical compliance and inspection processes for power systems and components.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
QA Supervisor Maintain process fidelity and integrity to corporate standards and policies Ensure product quality meets customer specifications and expectations Develop and maintain calibration programs for tools and equipment Manage document control systems in compliance with
ISO 9001
standards Supervise QA Auditors and QC Inspectors, ensuring effective departmental performance Champion corporate priorities: Safety, Quality, Productivity Train and mentor employees on: Lean Manufacturing principles, A3 Problem Solving methodology, Quality tools and techniques Electrical Responsibilities Oversee inspection and testing of electrical components, wiring, and assemblies for compliance with UL, ETL, and NEC standards Collaborate with Engineering and Production to ensure electrical systems meet design specifications and regulatory requirements Maintain documentation for electrical quality standards and certifications Support troubleshooting and resolution of electrical quality issues during production and final assembly Ensure calibration and certification of electrical testing equipment Mechanical Responsibilities Inspect mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for compliance with design specifications and industry standards Verifies tolerances, fits, and finishes on fabricated parts and assemblies Ensure mechanical systems meet performance and safety requirements Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to resolve mechanical quality issues Maintain calibration and certification of mechanical inspection tools and gauges Essential Functions Ensure QMS compliance with ISO 9001 and regulatory requirements. Monitor and review internal processes affecting product quality. Establish and maintain quality procedures, standards, and specifications. Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues. Audit supplier materials and electrical/mechanical components for compliance. Develop quality training programs for welding, electrical, and mechanical inspection. Maintain strict document control for drawings, specifications, and policies. Collaborate with Engineering, Scheduling, and Project Management for job execution strategies. Support continuous improvement initiatives and Lean manufacturing culture. Working Conditions Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, mechanical parts, and vibration; noise levels can be high. Physical demands include stooping, bending, kneeling, working at heights, and inspecting in tight spaces. Ability to work in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions. Occasional overnight travel may be required. Minimum Qualifications Proven ability to lead a diverse QA team. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in MS Office Suite B.S. degree or equivalent experience 10+ years of welding-based manufacturing experience and 5+ years in QA/QC functions Electrical and mechanical experience in industrial or manufacturing environments preferred

compliance experience preferred Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma training; certification preferred Ability to read and interpret complex fabrication, electrical, and mechanical drawings Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered Additional certifications such as AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and electrical compliance certifications (UL, NEC) are highly desirable
