Job Description

Position Summary:
Responsible for overseeing the daily tasks of the QA Department in a specific PHF MFG facility; ensuring timely and effective implementation of all the Company's policies, procedures, and activities involved in assuring the quality of manufactured products.
Essential duties and responsibility:
Includes the following (other duties may be assigned) Responsible for managing quality systems and quality resources to accomplish Company objectives. Responsible for directing and managing daily activities of hourly QA staff. Responsible for directing QA staff in completion of multiple phases of Quality audits: REC audits (incoming materials/FG), WIP audits (work in-process) and FGI audits (finished good inspections). Assist with CSA representative quarterly audits in the absence of the Vice President of Quality Assurance. Responsible for
ISO 9001
based quality and auditing functions. Responsible for managing new product launches with both internal and external customers. Knowledgeable of product quality requirements including methods and customer processes. Ability to solve quality related issues and provide decision making methods to tackle complex product/process quality issues. Responsible for documenting/quarantining non-conforming materials (NCM) and working with the manufacturing team to resolve reported customer quality issues (CQI). Provides leadership role in continuous improvement process to improve quality and efficiency and reduce costs. Assist in creating a climate in which employees want to do their best; empowers others; invites input from each person; makes everyone feel his/her work is important; is someone people like working for and with. Key members of management team are responsible for accomplishing daily business goals and objectives and establishing a culture of positive employee relations while ensuring all processes, best practices, and policies are adhered to consistently. Be continually educated on the quality expectations of each customer and perform physical product inspections on a relevant random sample of product to prevent vendor compliance issues and charge backs. Represent the Company during on-site visits by our customer's quality control representatives.  Comply with Company safety policies, procedures, and best practices  Other job duties as assigned by Manager.
Qualifications:
BA/BS in related field preferred. AA or 3-5 years of quality control management experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient computer skills, including MS Office (specifically Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint). Strong manufacturing background in a high-volume, automated machine and assembly operation. Able to thoroughly read and understand basic product testing standards and specifications. Basic knowledge and understanding of manufacturing equipment and how it works, and the use of textile lab testing equipment, product measuring, and inspecting tools. Previous experience in quality function within home textile industry preferred. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exhibit can-do attitude, strong interpersonal skills, including good relationship-building skills, and the ability to communicate with all levels of employees. Excellent internal/external customer service skills, ability to be flexible, work both independently and as part of a team. Proven accomplishments in team building, continuous improvement, and crossfunctional decision- making. Maintain strong time-management skills and ensure consistent organization and prioritization of tasks. strong analytic and organization and prioritization skills, attention to detail and problemsolving skills, bringing new ideas and creative solutions to existing processes and issues. Approaches others in a tactful manner; reacts well under pressure; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status; accepts responsibility for own actions; follows through on commitments.

Pay:
$35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
