Quality Manager 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Lyman, SC 29365 Boiler Tube Company of America 147 reviews Boiler Tube Company of America (BTA) is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Manager to lead our quality assurance initiatives at our manufacturing facilities in South Carolina. As a key member of our management team, the Quality Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality control processes to ensure all boiler pressure parts meet stringent industry standards and customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality systems management within a manufacturing environment, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems compliant with industry standards and regulatory requirements, including ASME codes. Oversee inspection, testing, and quality control processes to ensure product conformance. Lead and mentor quality assurance staff, fostering a culture of quality and accountability. Collaborate with production, engineering, and management teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions. Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement. Analyze quality data and metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Manage customer quality concerns and coordinate responses and resolutions. Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all quality-related activities. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within manufacturing, preferably in the boiler or pressure vessel industry. Strong knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 and ASME codes. Experience with quality management systems, audits, and corrective action processes. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in data analysis and quality improvement methodologies. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external customers and auditors.
