Basic Function Leadership of Central Returns processing and transformation of existing processes to reduce cycle time, improve accuracy, and improve workflow and processes toward a safer, more sustainable work environment. Direct and frequent communication with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Strong, engaging leadership of a team of inspectors and administrators. Responsibilities The Quality Supervisor is responsible for North America Central Returns Processing (CRPC). CRPC receives and processes customer returns from all North America food care sites, and Quality Supervisor oversees the processes for inspection, disposition, processing and reporting each return. The Quality Supervisor leads a team of inspectors and administrators to ensure work is done safely, efficiently and accurately. A key element of this role is to transform a largely paper-based process to a more streamlined digital process, and to reduce processing cycle time. Manage the receipt, inspection and disposition of product returns for all North America food care plants; develop and maintain a full understanding of credit types, defect categories, inspection methods and sample plans. Ensure full cross training of team members to maximize flexibility; maintain and agile and effective inspection process to prevent inspection backlogs and credit delays. Identify waste and redundancy in the CRPC processes and take steps to reduce or remove inefficiencies. Ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards; monitor and make recommendations to reduce hazards and create a safe and organized environment Lead and manage a team of inspectors and administrators; ensure work is carried out in accordance with standard operating procedures, and that timely dispositions are made Act as a liaison between the sales and field quality representatives and the manufacturing sites, ensuring that accurate information is received and transmitted. Work to gain alignment on the assignment of returns responsibility Maintain an effective and accurate returns database; monitor team performance to ensure accurate data entry; recommend system updates and improvements as necessary to provide the best service to the Food Care network Identify and complete cycle time reduction activities to reduce time to credit and maintain customer satisfaction Generate reports for customers and stakeholders Responsible for the reporting, communicating, and detailing of North American returned goods reports provided by the CRPC Administrators and Inspectors. Communicate and interact with Customer Service, Sales Account Managers (Regional Directors, VP of Sales, etc.), Sales Administrators, Quality Field Representatives, Quality Managers, Logistics, Engineering, Production Control and Manufacturing Mangers in a timely and professional manner regarding returned goods results, quality requirements and specifications. Demonstrates a proficient working knowledge of product specifications and testing specifications Demonstrate a proficient working knowledge of SAP to research returns and to accurately disposition and enter production data into Lotus Notes/CRM database system. Write and/or maintain training manuals and standard operating procedures for specific tasks and work processes. Ability to improve work methods and procedures to drive efficiency. Qualifications At least two years in a manufacturing, quality or transactional leadership role Bachelor's Degree required Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in SAP preferred Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) preferred
Pay Transparency Salary Range:
$69,200-$119,370 The range disclosed complies with applicable state and local pay transparency laws. Offers within this range will be determined by considering relevant factors including education, experience, and internal alignment. This position may also be eligible for annual performance bonuses and other incentive programs.
