) are used in applications in the market segments of automotive, industrial and consumer goods, electronics, healthcare, optics and packaging...products you are using in everyday life. Reporting to the Head of Applications Development, the Quality Manager will directly supervise the following position(s):
Quality Assurance Laboratory Supervisor, Quality Coordinator, Quality Assurance Chemist Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Quality Assurance Manager is to ensure that the products tested meet or exceed customer requirements. General duties include the verification of compliance with IATF 16949 and
ISO 17025
quality system requirements. Training and development of Quality Assurance personnel according to EMS Global Management Principles.
Job Duties/Tasks:
Primary Responsibility Local Quality Assurance Representative UBGA with communication to with customers about Q-concerns. Administration of raw material and product specifications Administration of PPAP-packages of automotive products Guarantee of raw material quality and inspection of intermediate and final products Change of test status of raw materials and final products Processing of notifications of error and complaints through the control of non-conforming product and assistance in resolving quality problems. Day-to-day implementation and maintenance of the processes defined in the QM-System under the authority Ongoing review of the suitability, and effectiveness, of the processes defined in the QM-System as well as submission of proposals for correction and improvement to Quality Management. Uphold and follow Quality Policies in order to ensure compliance with
IATF 16949
certification and
ISO 17025
accreditation. Preparation of Laboratory Testing Reports. Provide technical problem solving support; support QA compliance and facilitate the release of First-Quality products. Communicate with various departments and salespersons as needed on projects. Authorization and control of rework. Revising and/or establishing laboratory instructions. Secondary Responsibility Supports AD/MT/TS and Sales departments with testing, projects, and other requests. Keeping up-to-date with technical developments, especially those which can save time and improve reliability. Provide proposals and/or credit requests to promote continuous improvements Additional responsibilities as assigned. Educational & Professional Background Bachelors degree required in Chemistry, or related field. Three years (minimum) experience required as Quality Manager, or leading a Quality testing laboratory. Advanced working knowing of personal computers and programs (MS word, Excel, and Power Point a must). Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems, with minimum experience managing a laboratory according to
ISO 9001.
Special consideration will be given to candidates to have experience with working knowledge of
ISO 17025
laboratory requirements. Proven track record of employee development and continuous improvement initiatives within department and collaborating with other departments. References must be provided upon request.
