As a valued member of our team, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest quality standards for our products. We are seeking a dedicated Lead Quality Sorter to lead and organize the sorting area within our Quality department. This full-time, dayshift position offers the opportunity to guide a team, implement quality control processes, and contribute to the delivery of defect-free products to our customers. Responsibilities Attend daily production meetings and coordinate with the production scheduler to determine priority projects. Set daily and weekly goals for the Sorting team and communicate priorities clearly. Lead, train, and coach Sorters to ensure proper sorting processes and identification of product defects. Teach new employees about sorting procedures and defect recognition. Sort plastic containers and preforms to remove defective products and ensure only high-quality goods are shipped to customers. Inspect finished products for known and unknown defects before inventory placement or shipping. Travel to offsite warehouse locations in Sioux Falls to assess stored products, plan sorting activities, and coordinate their return to active inventory. Operate a sit-down forklift as needed. Perform general warehouse duties as required. Qualifications Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication skills with abilitly to motivate the team and approach management with questions or concerns. Visual acuity to identify defective materials. Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Experience in training, coaching, or leading small teams is preferred. Ability to stand for extended periods. Valid driver's license. Compensation $25.00 per hour + bonus . Overtime opportunities may be available based on workload.
