Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Food Quality Manager to lead our quality assurance initiatives within the manufacturing environment. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of food quality systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food safety, possess strong analytical skills, and be committed to maintaining the highest quality standards across all production processes. Quality Assurance & Food Safety Develop, implement, and maintain food safety and quality management systems. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including FDA, HACCP, SQF, GMPs, and other industry standards. Monitor production processes to verify adherence to quality specifications. Review and approve product specifications, procedures, and quality documentation. Manage environmental monitoring and food safety verification programs. Audits & Compliance Lead internal, customer, and regulatory audits. Maintain audit readiness and coordinate corrective actions. Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Ensure compliance with customer requirements and certification standards. Team Leadership Supervise and train quality assurance and quality control personnel. Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development. Promote a culture of food safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Quality Control & Continuous Improvement Analyze quality metrics and trends to identify improvement opportunities. Collaborate with production, maintenance, sanitation, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues. Lead root cause analysis investigations and corrective action initiatives. Support new product launches and process validation activities. Documentation & Reporting Maintain quality records and documentation. Prepare quality reports and present findings to management. Ensure accurate recordkeeping for regulatory compliance and traceability requirements. Education Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, Quality Management, or a related field. Experience 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing quality assurance or food safety. 2+ years of supervisory or management experience preferred. Experience with HACCP, GMPs, and third-party audit standards. Knowledge & Skills Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality systems. Knowledge of
HACCP, SQF, BRCGS, FSSC
22000, and GMP requirements. Experience conducting root cause analysis and CAPA investigations. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management software. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Certifications HACCP Certification PCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual) SQF Practitioner Certification nt.
Pay:
$25.58 - $30.81 per hour
