The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the quality plan that complies withISO 9001/FSC/SFI/GMP ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise Quality control process, procedures, and compliance activities to achieve key site and corporate objectives Develops testing schedule for raw materials based on production requirements, finished products for marketing needs and stability samples to provide reports. Identifies areas in need of method modification and staff training. Acts as advisor to team members to meet schedules and resolve problems. Maintains knowledge of current trends in Quality Control testing procedures by updating to current testing methodologies, including vendor requirements. Write and revise SOP's as required. Manage overall quality evaluation. Work to resolve and prevent customer complaints. Serve as subject matter expert (SME) regarding servicing, policies, procedures, processes, requirements, and regulations to effectively complete testing. Maintain the department procedures to ensure that process changes are documented. Manage test schedules to ensure all operational tests are completed accurately and timely according to the department's policies and procedures. Effectively communicate findings and remediation plans to both internal parties (senior management, business process owners, Compliance, Risk, Internal Audit,) and external parties (e.g., clients, regulatory bodies, external auditors) Recommend and/or implement changes to existing operational test in order to increase efficiency, minimize operating expense or improve accuracy and timeliness of both process and system solutions. Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with managers to plan and determine the quality control support required to support the program. Briefs crews as required on status of discrepancies and inspection criteria. Conducts or directs training, and coordinates with managers, supervisors, and personnel as necessary to ensure implementation of policies and procedures. Conducts investigations into customer complaints relating to deficiencies within the Quality Department. Assesses inspection requirements and assign inspection projects and tasks to inspection personnel. Leads, manages and/or participates in the investigation of non-conformances in compliance with quality procedures, policies and regulations Effective verbal and written communication with team members and other departments of the organization. Ability to successfully work on cross-functional basis with other site supervisors. Represent the quality control department and departmental functions on company projects/committees. Maintain and store complete and accurate QC reports. Perform, review, and supervise Calibration and Testing procedures of QC equipment. Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental Policies, keep a healthy and safe-conscious working environment, in order to minimize or eliminate risks exposure to personnel, company assets and societal impacts and be in line with any applicable Law requirements and Company standards.JOB REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED College and/or related technical experience, preferred Must be a mature person to the effect he/she will be dealing with all levels of the organization and having to deal with a variety of complex problems and issues Must be a self-starter to the effect he/she must initiate and then follow through to completion assigned tasks Clear, concise oral and written English communication skills Demonstrated supervisory skills Two years' experience in the corrugated industry One-year supervisory experience as a proven manager of at least five people, preferred One-year Quality experience, preferred Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.
