Position Overview The QA Manager will lead all aspects of the quality management system, ensuring compliance with
ISO 9001
standards and applicable regulatory and industry requirements. This is a strategic and hands-on role overseeing inspection, testing, auditing, and continuous improvement initiatives — with a strong focus on copper cable and wire assembly quality standards — to drive customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Lead, maintain, and continuously improve the company's
ISO 9001
Quality Management System. Develop and implement quality assurance policies, procedures, and documentation. Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection and testing for copper cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and control panels. Ensure compliance with UL, IPC/WHMA-A-620, UL508A, and customer-specific wire and cable assembly requirements. Lead internal audits, support external/third-party audits, and manage corrective/preventive actions. Partner with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to identify root causes of quality issues and implement lasting solutions. Analyze data from quality inspections and audits to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for improvement. Manage quality metrics, reporting, and KPIs for leadership review. Develop and deliver quality training programs for employees, including cable and wire assembly standards. Lead a team of quality inspectors/technicians. Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality issues, certifications, and audits. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience. 5+ years of quality assurance/quality management experience in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated experience with copper cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and/or control panel manufacturing. Strong working knowledge of
IPC/WHMA-A-620
cable and wire harness workmanship standards.\Strong knowledge of
ISO 9001
quality management systems and internal auditing. Familiarity with UL508A and other applicable industry standards. Experience conducting quality audits and implementing corrective actions. Proven ability to lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action programs. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and act on quality data. Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in computer applications:
documents, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations. Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Statistical Process Control, or MRP/ERP systems is a plus.
