DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality Control Develop, train and manage Quality Control Technicians per Medway S.O.P's to ensure technicians are following quality standards and expectations. Develop and manage all quality control processes with available control resources. This includes but is not limited to; validating that all product is within conformance per specified controls plans detailed in each part's PPAP, develop, manage, and review control test procedures per specified control plans. Ensure quality dispositions internally and externally are performed in a timely manner and communicated accordingly throughout the organization via internal MQI or via customer determined quality control plan. Manage and ensure calibration compliance and test equipment suitability for all needed quality required measurement tools, fixtures, and testing equipment. Manage all quality technicians are trained, understand testing requirements, and perform needed testing for all products running, consistently and accurately. Develop and manage quality workmanship standards and methods per Medway SOP's and improvement plans. Quality Assurance Manage, control and develop quality assurance systems per Medway Standard Quality procedures using and referencing customer requirements to ensure part quality is ensured through all shifts. Ensure all production approved products have required quality assurance documentation and are available to Production Team and relevant staff for awareness. Develop, implement, and manage Quality Assurance for all needed testing per each approved product per customer required control plan via Mattec SPC test entries. Update as needed per updated control plans. Support PPAP process and assist with completions and review of PPAP documentation as needed. Support Director of Quality in implementing corporate-level quality improvements and initiatives. Support Director of Quality in developing, documenting, and communicating KPIs and other metrics. Support Director of Quality in developing, implementing, and sustainingISO 9001
compliant processes. Create strong relationships with Customer Quality departments and Customer Clients to establish Medway Plastics quality driven narrative. Interact with customer quality departments to continuously move and drive any quality improvement plans or VAVE plans via quality.Other notes:

Experience:
Previous manufacturing supervisor or related experience. Must possess excellent verbal, written communication skills and Microsoft Office as required to interface with other departments and company personnel Green Belt, CQE and CQM/OE certification preferred. Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, Bachelors' degree, or equivalent minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Manager/ Supervisory role. Green Belt, CQE and CQM/OE certification also preferred. Understanding manufacturing and experience in manufacturing is required, with plastics experience being preferred. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, business understanding, negotiation skills and strong organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment with the ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm. Highly motivated, seeks opportunities for development, client-focused, and has the ability to work unsupervised and on own initiative, which includes making appropriate decisions in ambiguous situations. Proficient in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint) Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skillsWORKING CONDIITONS

Manual dexterity Ability to read written English. Ability to express oneself verbally in English with clarity on a face-to-face basis. Ability to hear in one or both ears so that verbal communication can be received, understood, and acted upon either face to face or over an overhead paging system. Ability of olfactory nerves to distinguish between and among odors and scents as to origin and level of intensity, and to tolerate potentially obnoxious smells. Ability to control and utilize fingers in a dexterous and coordinated manner for such activities as writing, typing, keyboarding, etc. Ability to stretch body and extend arms to place or secure objects at a distance above, to the side of, or below the normal standing level. Ability to exert a reasonable paced mobility from one point to another within a generally accepted time frame, and recognize the conditions of the environment as narrowness, clutter, slickness, etc. Ability to move and control one's torso so items can be picked up from the floor or from a lower surface level. Ability to flex legs at the knees and move the upper body forward and down. Ability to flex legs at the knees to lower body position. Ability to flex legs at the knee so that individual can lower the body coming to rest on one or both knees. Ability to use body parts, usually arms and hands (occasionally shoulders and back) to elevate an object weighing more than 50 lbs. above its previous surface level. Ability to ascend steps, ladders, and other vertical and semi-vertical surfaces to reach a higher level.SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises 5-6 employees within the quality department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.DIRECT REPORTS

As a Quality Manager you are responsible for all aspects of Quality within the Medway Plastics, Texas Division including but not limited to: Maintaining and auditing quality procedures and testing, ensuring quality control and assurance across all shifts, and managing customer engagement for all quality aspects. Managing all customer claims, from containment through validation. You are expected to train, supervise, and communicate with all Quality Technicians and Auditors working within the plant.
