Overview The Quality Supervisor manages the daily quality inspection, testing, and reporting. Supports Operations personnel and Quality Control (QC) Technicians who perform documented inspections and tests. Ensures QC provides timely feedback on product conformance to defined internal and customer criteria to ensure product is accepted by customers. Pursues robust QMS and process controls, and continual improvements. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Collaborate with Operations, Engineers, stakeholders, and customers to confirm product conformance by assuring timely test and inspection to Customer, Product, Operations, & Quality requirements. Supervise, schedule, coordinate, and generally oversee QC on all shifts; assure and report results; train and develop QC personnel (inspection / test methods, metrology tools, Drawings, QMS, etc.) Ensure inspection / test equipment is handled properly, and hardware is maintained and calibrated; maintain a clean and safe working environment for self, subordinates, and fellow coworkers Approve first piece/first article inspections and validate line setup checks Regularly review and remain current on applicable Product, Design, Operations, and Quality documentation, and on products to prevent issues and solve problems as they arise. Coordinate 8D steps (particularly Containment, Root Cause Analysis, and Verification of Effectiveness); coordinate NCM/MRB activity; assist with Quality Management System implementation. Coordinate with Operations management to prioritize QC output to meet production deadlines. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree, or Associate's degree in a technical field. 1-3 years of Quality supervision experience (with direct reports) in a production environment Experience in an
ISO 9001
environment. Familiarity with Engineering drawings and specifications, and with metrology tools Preferred Qualifications Experience leading or participating in internal Quality audits or ASQ certification (CQM, CQE, CQT, etc.) Experience in a QMS greater thanISO 9001
(e.g.IATF 16949, ISO 22163, AS9100
) Experience in training and developing others in Quality and Inspection/Test techniques Understanding of ERP/MES systems, Quality production techniques (8D, FMEA, SPC), and 5SSimilar jobs in San Marcos, TX
