SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST
(TITLE 32), GS-1910-12, you will: Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Quality Assurance Division. Develops goals and objectives th integre organizion and Quality objectives. Establishes, revises, or reviews policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organizion design for the staff, as necessary to elimine work problems or barriers to mission accomplishment, promote team building, and implement quality improvements in response to concerns with regulory compliance. Evalues requirements for additional resources Provides training and experience to the workforce with regard to sound maintenance practices of the aircraft and associed equipment, and knowledge and capability in the military mission, and aircraft. Manages the maintenance and inspection effort involved in keeping aircraft in an airworthy - comb readiness ste, to include capability to carry out daily flying missions and ensure all maintenance operions are executed safely and in accordance with published guidance. Establish employee work schedules, deadlines, and production/inspection priorities based on aircraft maintenance stus, aircraft mission requirements and other demand needs. Develops methods and procedures, reviews the work of subordines in progress and upon completion to ensure th they have met the defined quality and quantity standards. Discharge safety and security responsibilities by ensuring educion and compliance with security directives for employees with access to classified or sensitive merial. Utilizes comprehensive knowledge and ability to interpret Air Force Instructions, Technical Orders, engineering drawings, product specificions, Air Force Occupional Safety and Health (AFOSH) environmental standards, public law, and locally developed policy. Directs the administrion, evaluion, and coordinion of a comprehensive quality assurance, maintenance standardizion, and inspection program for all areas of the maintenance organizion, all maintenance disciplines, job series and Air Force Specialty Codes (AFSCs). Manages the organizion's quality program and elements of the program to gauge compliance with directives, assess established processes, identify deficiencies, implement corrective measures, and improve processes to enhance mission effectiveness and efficiency. Oversees the Consolided Tool Kit (CTK) program. Ensures personnel use proper da collection techniques and procedures for evaluion, inspection and audit programs and a number of reled dabases and spreadsheets to capture and calog da elements for trending, cross-tell, and benchmarking. Manages the Aircraft Weight and Balance, aircraft and equipment impoundment, chaffing, aircraft hot refuel/aircraft-to-aircraft, Product Quality Deficiency Report (QDR), and Over-G/Over-speed analysis programs Represents and speaks for the Maintenance Group Commander with representives of the Nional Guard Bureau, System Program Office (SPO) and internally within the Maintenance Complex on issues reling to maintenance processes, procedures, and policies. Maintains direct contact with the NGB staff and with counterparts other ANG bases in order to resolve problems affecting maintenance quality and compliance and to ensure timely exchange of pertinent technical, managerial, and compliance-reled informion. Serves as the primary technical consultant to production area managers on issues reled to quality, military specificion, and internional quality standards such as the Internional Organizion for Standardizion ( Develops an evaluion plan and prevention effort to minimize risk and prevent damage to equipment, structures, weapons systems, or injury to personnel through a comprehensive knowledge of the body of laws, regulions, policies and procedures reling to aircraft maintenance, ground, explosive and flight safety, occupional heh and environmental compliance. Skill in using various computer and software applicions to include but not limited to: word processing programs, spreadsheets, email services, dabases and dabase management. GENERAL EXPERIENCE
: Experience, educion, or training involving planning, developing, or administering quality assurance programs (i.e., supporting the development, acquisition, production, use, maintenance, storage, and supply of products concerned with the systemic prevention of defects and non-conformances, the identificion of unsisfactory trends and conditions, and the correction of factors which may contribute to defective items). Experience using computer and automion systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
: Must have 1 year specialized experience equivalent to least
GS-1910-11.
(Must provide SF 50 to valide) OR Have experience involving a thorough knowledge of product or range of products involved, the manufacturing methods and techniques, special processes, test and performance requirements; and skill in developing plans and programs. Experience possessed by an expert in the area of specializion able to give technical direction to otherwise competent workers. Experience determining operions when difficult and questionable phases of malfunctions are found. Experience which required significant and concrete work accomplishments (i.e. special projects, working groups, or detailing assignments) involving interpersonal contacts in a quality assurance or reled field. Experience in dealing with management principles and supervisory responsibility for the function required by type of position to be filled and the organizion involved.
SUPERVISORY EXPRIENCE
: Must have experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. Educion Not applicable for this position.
