Job Description

What We Offer Salaried position — $50,000 - $60,000/year, with room for more based on relevant experience, Paid Time Off after 90 days, and paid major holidays. About International Cellars International Cellars is a wine and spirits wholesale distributor based in Winchester, VA, serving the DC, Maryland, and Virginia markets. Our 55,000 sq ft warehouse handles direct distribution, third-party logistics (3PL), and freight operations. We operate as a tight-knit team in a fast-paced environment, and we are looking for an evening floor leader who can help keep operations sharp, efficient, and accurate. Schedule Monday through Thursday, approximately 1:00 PM until picking and dispatch are complete (typically between 9:00-10:00 PM depending on volume), with occasional Friday wrap-up work as needed. This is a salaried position, so hours flex based on operational demand. Summary We are hiring an Evening Warehouse Floor Manager / Quality Control Specialist to lead the evening picking team, ensure every order leaves the warehouse accurate and on time, and act as the on-the-ground problem solver from mid-day through dispatch. This is a hands-on leadership role — you will be supervising, inspecting, dispatching, communicating with drivers, and stepping in to pick when needed. You will learn and operate within our two core systems — Odoo (ERP) and TrackPOD (route dispatch) — and serve as the central point of coordination between the warehouse floor, the office, and delivery drivers each evening. Responsibilities
  • Supervise the evening picking team, set the pace, assign work, and hold the floor accountable to both accuracy and timing while maintaining visibility across all active orders
  • Perform final quality checks on every order before it leaves the dock, verifying product, vintage, lot codes (especially for traceable items), counts, and case integrity
  • Prepare and finalize invoices and shipping paperwork within ODOO
  • Dispatch delivery routes in TrackPOD after the daily order cutoff, serving as the primary point of contact for drivers and communicating route changes, additions, and adjustments for next-day deliveries
  • Communicate product cuts and substitutions clearly across the warehouse team, sales staff, and customers to maintain alignment
  • Step in to pick orders directly when volume or staffing requires it, leading from the floor rather than from a desk
  • Solve operational problems in real time, including broken bottles, miscounts, missing pallets, driver issues, and system disruptions
  • Identify recurring issues such as picker performance gaps, slot/bin inefficiencies, or inventory discrepancies, and escalate them to the Warehouse Admin Lead and General Manager Requirements
  • 2+ years of warehouse experience in a fast-paced environment, including distribution, 3PL, fulfillment, or food and beverage operations
  • Prior leadership or lead-picker experience, including managing a shift, zone, or team
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to catch errors others miss and maintain accuracy under pressure
  • Comfortable working with technology and ERP/WMS systems, with the ability to quickly learn new platforms such as ODOO and TrackPOD
  • Ability to remain calm and communicate clearly under pressure, especially during dispatch windows when timing and adjustments are critical
  • Physical ability to lift 40+ lbs repeatedly and remain mobile throughout the shift, as this is a floor-based role
  • Comfortable working in a climate-controlled warehouse environment, with temperatures ranging from approximately 50°F in winter to 70°F in summer
  • Forklift experience (sit-down and/or reach truck), or willingness to complete certification
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to completing work each day until all operations are finished Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in alcohol distribution, food and beverage, or regulated 3PL environments where lot tracking and compliance discipline are important
  • Familiarity with route dispatch software such as TrackPOD, Onfleet, Routific, or similar platforms
  • Experience using mobile scanners or phone-based scanning applications, including cycle counting
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
Benefits:
Employee discount Paid time off Professional development assistance
Work Location:
In person
