Job Description

Job Overview The QA/QC Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing quality assurance and quality control activities related to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance, assessments, and management systems for large and complex projects. This role ensures that all project activities, documentation, and deliverables comply with applicable regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and project specifications. Duties Lead and manage QA/QC activities associated with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance and management systems. Plan, conduct, and oversee environmental compliance audits, inspections, assessments, and quality reviews. Ensure project compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations, permits, and contractual requirements. Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC procedures, standards, and documentation processes. Review technical reports, environmental studies, monitoring data, and regulatory submissions for accuracy, completeness, and quality. Identify quality and compliance issues, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Monitor and evaluate project activities to ensure adherence to established quality standards and EHS management systems. Coordinate with project managers, technical teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies regarding quality and compliance matters. Maintain detailed records of audits, inspections, corrective actions, and compliance activities. Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote best practices related to quality assurance and environmental compliance. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project staff regarding QA/QC procedures and regulatory requirements. Experience Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field required. Licensed Geologist, Hydrogeologist, or Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Washington, or equivalent relevant licensure required. Minimum of 25 years of relevant professional experience in QA/QC management, environmental compliance, EHS oversight, or related technical disciplines. Demonstrated experience conducting environmental compliance audits and managing quality systems on large and complex projects. Extensive knowledge of QA/QC principles, environmental regulations, and EHS management systems. Strong understanding of environmental compliance auditing methodologies and quality management processes. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to interpret technical reports, specifications, regulatory requirements, and compliance documentation. Proven experience coordinating with regulatory agencies, multidisciplinary teams, and project stakeholders. Ability to manage complex compliance and quality-related issues in fast-paced project environments. Experience supporting large infrastructure, construction, engineering, or industrial projects.
Pay:
$100,000.00 - $159,000.00 per year
