Drive Quality. Make an Impact. Kitchen Fresh Foods is seeking an experienced and passionate Quality Control Manager to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a quality leader who thrives in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment and is committed to protecting consumers, supporting customers, and building a strong culture of food safety and continuous improvement. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this leadership position plays a critical role in overseeing all aspects of food safety, quality assurance, sanitation systems, and SQF compliance throughout the organization. What You'll Do As our Quality Control Manager, you will: ✅ Lead and continuously improve our quality management systems ✅ Serve as the facility SQF Practitioner, Food Defense Coordinator, and Recall Coordinator ✅ Oversee all Food Safety, Food Quality, and Sanitation programs, including development, implementation, training, verification, and maintenance ✅ Lead internal, customer, and regulatory audits ✅ Monitor production processes to ensure products meet specifications and customer expectations ✅ Investigate customer complaints, identify trends, and implement sustainable solutions ✅ Drive corrective and preventive action initiatives (CAPA) ✅ Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Purchasing, Product Management, Commercial teams, and Plant FSQA ✅ Develop and deliver training programs related to GMPs, HACCP, food safety, and product quality standards ✅ Monitor key performance indicators and communicate quality performance to senior leadership ✅ Foster accountability and support disciplinary processes related to food safety and quality standards
What We're Looking For Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Quality Management, or a related field Proven leadership experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Food Safety within a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of food safety systems, SQF requirements, HACCP, GMPs, and quality management principles Experience leading audits and managing regulatory compliance programs Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Proficiency with quality management systems and software
Preferred Qualifications:
SQF Practitioner experience Food Safety, HACCP, PCQI, or related certifications Quality certifications such as ASQ, CQM, or equivalent Why Join Kitchen Fresh Foods?
