Manager Quality Green Bay Packaging Coated Products - 3.0 Green Bay, WI Job Details Full-time 17 hours ago Benefits Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Statistics Team leadership Manufacturing facility Bachelor's degree Data-driven problem-solving Manufacturing company experience Full Job Description Position Overview The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and maintaining the quality management system for a pressure-sensitive label stock manufacturing facility. This role ensures that raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods meet defined specifications and customer expectations. The Quality Manager oversees incoming raw material inspection, QC laboratory operations, manages customer claims, drives corrective and preventive actions, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Lead the Quality Team consisting of an Engineer, Claims Analyst, Specialist, Incoming Inspector, and 16 Technicians, setting expectations and providing performance feedback. Establish and oversee raw material incoming inspection activities and vendor claims and corrective action process. Manage daily operations of two QC laboratories; ensure testing is conducted and reported with accuracy and precision. Lead internal training on quality standards and expectations. Lead disposition decisions for nonconforming materials. Report on quality performance; review customer claims for trends and improvement opportunities. Conduct statistical analysis to drive decisions and priorities. Lead problem-solving using root cause analysis methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone analysis. Perform internal quality audits, monitor data trends, and identify ways to reduce waste, minimize risk, and increase efficiency. Maintain and control documentation and data, including completion of customer quality surveys.
Collaborate cross-functionally:
With R D and Technical Service Engineers to understand customer requirements and ensure they are being met by established quality standards With Procurement to ensure raw materials from external suppliers meet quality requirements With Operations to proactively identify and resolve issues impacting product quality Maintain a safe work environment Travel to customers and suppliers as needed to gain first-hand knowledge (10%) Other duties as assigned by the Technical Director The Quality Manager reports directly to the Technical Director Qualifications BS. Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related field. 5+ years of experience in quality management in a manufacturing environment 5+ years in a leadership position with direct reports Working knowledge of statistical methods and process control Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification preferred Background in labels, packaging, or paper science preferred Familiarity with
ISO 9001
