Job Description Quality Assurance Manager (Nuclear Manufacturing & Compliance) Position Summary The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive quality assurance program that complies with applicable nuclear industry regulations and standards, including 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and current NQA-1 requirements. This role provides leadership for quality systems, regulatory compliance, audits, corrective actions, process improvements, and quality personnel while partnering closely with operational and executive leadership to ensure the highest standards of product quality, safety, and regulatory adherence. Key Responsibilities Quality Management & Regulatory Compliance Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Assurance Program in accordance with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, NQA-1, and other applicable nuclear quality requirements. Maintain quality manuals, procedures, work instructions, and supporting documentation required for regulatory and industry compliance. Manage documentation and procedural requirements associated with ASME N and NPT Code Stamp certifications. Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable quality assurance regulations, codes, standards, and industry best practices. Serve as the subject matter expert for nuclear quality requirements and provide guidance throughout the organization. Quality Systems & Auditing Develop and maintain quality procedures, inspection plans, testing methodologies, and acceptance criteria for raw materials, work-in-process, and finished products. Conduct internal audits and assessments of quality systems, processes, suppliers, and operations. Identify nonconformances and initiate corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues. Monitor effectiveness of corrective actions and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain process control procedures to ensure consistent production of products that meet established specifications and standards. Leadership & Team Management Lead, mentor, and supervise quality assurance personnel. Establish priorities, allocate resources, schedule work activities, and monitor team performance. Foster a culture of quality, accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement throughout the organization. Train employees on nuclear quality requirements, procedures, and quality assurance expectations. Influence and coordinate activities across departments to ensure quality objectives are achieved. Quality Performance & Continuous Improvement Generate, analyze, and present quality metrics, reports, and performance indicators. Lead cross-functional investigations into quality issues, process failures, and product defects. Recommend and implement process, procedural, or product improvements to enhance quality and productivity. Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing defects, improving efficiency, and strengthening compliance. Customer, Supplier & Technical Support Provide technical quality support to customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Review customer complaints, investigate root causes, and implement appropriate corrective actions. Assist customers in resolving quality-related concerns and inquiries. Support supplier quality activities, evaluations, and performance improvement initiatives. Participate in reviews and approvals of equipment and quality-related capital investments. Safety & Operational Excellence Ensure compliance with all quality, safety, housekeeping, and operational procedures. Promote safe work practices while maintaining strict adherence to regulatory and quality requirements. Support organizational initiatives that strengthen operational excellence and product reliability. Required Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline preferred. Minimum 5-7 years of related quality assurance experience in a regulated manufacturing environment; or 10-12 years of progressively responsible quality assurance experience; or An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Technical Requirements Demonstrated experience administering and maintaining nuclear quality assurance programs. Experience training personnel on nuclear quality requirements, procedures, and compliance expectations.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a highly regulated environment while maintaining compliance and operational effectiveness.
