Position Overview American Signal Corporation (ASC) proudly designs, manufactures, installs and maintains state-of-the-art mass notification systems and emergency alert systems, as well as critical non-emergency communications. Recognized and implemented worldwide, our solutions are relied upon daily by governments, communities, numerous industries and military facilities. Customers count on ASC products to notify their citizens and personnel to developing situations, wherever they are, using the latest in integrated technologies and comprehensive dissemination systems. We are seeking a hands-on Quality Manager who is ready and willing to engage in daily quality activities. You will maintain and improve our quality system, inspect and test products, foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement across all departments. Key Responsibilities
- Draft, revise, review Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and other quality documents.
- Perform inspections, measurements, and tests on incoming materials, in-process work, and final products.
- Operate and maintain quality testing equipment, ensuring calibration is up to date.
- Assist production in troubleshooting quality issues, implementing corrective actions, and verifying effectiveness checks.
- Maintain and improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with relevant standards
- Lead and participate in internal, external, and customer audits.
- Ensure all documentation, records, and certifications are accurate and complete.
- Use root cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA) to resolve non-conformances.
- Implement lean and Six Sigma methods to improve efficiency and reduce defects.
- Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare quality metrics and present findings to management.
- Maintain inspection records, audit reports, and compliance documentation.
- Monitor and improve supplier quality performance. Qualifications
- 5+ years in a quality role, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
- Strong understanding of quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Experience in performing hands-on inspections, testing, document writing.
- Proficiency in quality tools, measuring equipment, and problem-solving methodologies.
